Pharmacogenomics & Pharmacoepidemiology Clinical Fellow

The Division of Pharmaceutical Services in the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is offering a two-year clinical fellowship for Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) graduates to pursue advanced research training and prepare for a research career as a clinician scientist in clinical pharmaceutics, pharmacogenomics, and/or pharmacoepidemiology. The fellow will spend approximately 80% of their time on research and 20% in clinical care or operations. They will participate in discovery, implementation, and/or pharmaceutics-based research in one or more of the core clinical areas at St Jude. Additional fellowship experiences may include participation in other clinical areas relevant to the research focus, development of grant-writing skills, laboratory experience, electronic health records research, multi-omic data analyses, preparation of abstracts and manuscripts, participation in activities of the Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium, and presentation of research at national and international meetings. The fellow will have the opportunity to pursue additional formal training, such as relevant certificate and/or graduate-level course work through the St. Jude Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.

Requirements for Application/Candidacy:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited university
  • Successful completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Residency (required) and PGY2 Residency (preferred)
  • Eligibility for licensure to practice pharmacy in the state of Tennessee
  • Letter of intent

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $72,945 - $104,665 per year for the role of Pharmacogenomics & Pharmacoepidemiology Clinical Fellow.
