The Importance of the Role

Reporting to the Head of Economics and Reimbursement Analytics, the Associate Director of Health Economics and Analytics will contribute to the team’s strategy and execution of critical health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) initiatives. The Associate Director will be responsible for numerous simultaneous studies demonstrating the broader value of our treatments and the unmet need of the corresponding diseases. Successful execution of these initiatives will result in robust scientific evidence delivered in a timely fashion to support patient access to valuable therapies. The Associate Director will work closely with external thought leaders and vendors to ensure the methodology of our analyses are robust and results are communicated via peer-reviewed publications. Furthermore, the Associate Director will collaborate with IBU leads and cross functional teams to ensure results and insights are leveraged to support patient access.

The Opportunity to Make a Difference

Use technical expertise and knowledge to support multiple HEOR studies, such as cost-effectiveness analyses, budget impact models, patient simulations, or novel value assessments (e.g., work productivity, value of hope)

  • Support statistical analyses of various databases (e.g., claims, registry, electronic health records) to generate real-world evidence (RWE) of clinical and economic outcomes 

  • Depending on business needs, build models/simulations, perform analyses, and perform in-depth quality checks of models/simulations developed by external vendors

  • Manage external vendors and provide detailed strategic guidance on study design and execution

  • Contribute to the development of global strategies and tactics as related to HEOR and the broader IBU

  • Support knowledge translation activities including scientific publications, presentations, and dashboards/tool for internal and external use

  • Manage project timelines and budgets

  • Communicate key insights to internal audiences, including cross-functional teams

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on HEOR strategy

More about You

  • Post graduate degree in life sciences, economics, operations research, public health, epidemiology, engineering, or related field

  • 8 or more years of proven, relevant professional experience in health economics, outcomes research, or pharmaceutical modeling

  • Strong technical skills in modeling/simulation development and statistical analyses (such as Python, R, SAS, or Excel VBA)

  • Subject matter expertise within HEOR

  • Must be highly motivated with strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and excellent communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks to effectively prioritize and meet personal and team goals

  • Must be able to produce high-quality, accurate work under time constraints

  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to work well cross functionally

  • Strong collaboration skills capable of influencing internal and other decision-makers

This position is hybrid, you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta’s facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time.

The targeted salary range for this position is $156,000 - $195,000 per year. Sarepta is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges. The salary offer is commensurate with Sarepta’s compensation philosophy and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity.
