Alphanumeric is hiring an EPIDEMIOLOGY & REAL WORLD EVIDENCE MANAGER to work in the Research Triangle Park, NC area with our client of 20 years committed to improving lives through medical and pharmaceutical advancements.

ViiV Healthcare is recruiting for the role of Manager, Epidemiology & Real World Evidence (RWE). The Epidemiology Manager will contribute to or support members of the Epidemiology & RWE team to conduct pharmacoepidemiologic studies on use, safety and effectiveness of drugs used for the treatment or prevention of HIV

This role is offered through a 12 month duration W2 type contract.
Alphanumeric does not offer work visa sponsorships for this role.
This role is not available through C2C agreements.

The compensation on offer is between 40 and 50 USD / h.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with members of Epidemiology & RWE team to develop non-interventional study protocols and conduct research studies on disease burden and drug effectiveness/safety.
  • Proactively manage project level aspects of RWE studies, including timelines and deliverables.
  • Ensure potential projects risks are escalated to the relevant Epi & RWE team members.
  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews on topics related to the research portfolio.
  • Collaborate with analysts and statisticians to conduct analyses of in-house data sources.
  • Contribute to the development and dissemination of study publications.
  • Communicate projects results to internal and external stakeholders and convey complex data in tangible terms for different audiences.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master's level degree in epidemiology or related field of study with at least at least 3 years of relevant experience in a research organization, academic center, or pharmaceutical industry; preferably in pharmacoepidemiology, clinical epidemiology, or related area
  • Demonstrated effective communications (written, verbal and presentation skills) in a cross[1]functional collaborative environment
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment and flexibility in taking on and performing assignments as necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD or DrPH in Epidemiology but min Master's level degree in epidemiology or related field of study
  • Knowledge of clinical research concepts, practices, and FDA regulations regarding drug development phases, clinical research, and data management methods
  • Knowledge and experience working in infectious disease area, HIV treatment and prevention
